Chocolate chip cookies are a timeless treat, loved for their perfect blend of chewiness and chocolatey goodness.

The aroma of chocolate chip cookies baking in the oven is enough to evoke nostalgia and create a comforting atmosphere.

Beyond their delectable taste, chocolate chip cookies have become a symbol of homemade warmth and hospitality.

They are often associated with childhood memories, shared moments, and the simple joy of indulging in a freshly baked cookie. Whether enjoyed with a glass of milk, crumbled over ice cream, or savoured on their own, chocolate chip cookies remain a beloved dessert that transcends generations.

Ingredients-

110gm Whole Wheat flour

15gm Cornflour

1/2tsp Baking Powder

1/8tsp Baking Soda

58gm Butter

40gm Caster Sugar

40gm Brown Sugar

1/2tsp Vanilla Extract

125gm Dark Chocolate, chopped

30-40ml Milk

Method:

  • In a bowl first combine all the dry Ingredients starting with Whole Wheat Flour, Cornflour,  Baking Powder, Baking Soda and keep it aside.
  • In another bowl take Cold Butter, Brown and Caster Sugar.
  • Now mix so that our sugar gets dissolved without making it light and fluffy.
  • Then add Vanilla Extract and mix it also in.
  • Now Add the dry Ingredients and slightly mix it
  • Then Add Chopped Dark Chocolate and mix it with the flour to get even distribution all along.
  • Add Milk and mix to form a dough,
  • Add milk in parts according to the requirement as its quantity depends on the finess of flour also if you replace it with all purpose flour the milk quantity required will be less so add 1tbsp at a time.
  • Now scoop out the cookie dough and place them on a tray and then refrigerate them for 24 hours or a minimum of 12 hours before baking, I refrigerate for 24hours this helps develop more flavour as well as prevents my cookies from spreading too much while baking.
  • Then Bake them in a pre-heated oven at 180C for 11-14 minutes after placing chopped chocolate chunks or chocochips.
  • Once baked let them cool down slightly before transferring them on a wire rack to cool completely.
